Half-boned stays based on illustrations in Denis Diderot's Encyclopédie, dating to about 1760-1770. However, the silhouette is also suitable for use with clothing covering the period of 1760-1790.
 
Basic stays come with shoulder straps and back spiral lacing (metal eyelets), made in your choice of black or white cotton coutil fabric and are bound in cotton tape. The boning I use is German synthetic whaleboning.
Additional front lacing is also available.
